Sails on Lavender Bay is one of Sydney's longest running restaurants, in operation continually over the past 40 years. 

The restaurant is located on the foreshore of Sydney’s magnificent harbour at Lavender Bay, with postcard views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It is a perfect venue for those wanting to experience the quintessential beauty of Sydney. 

In 2016 the restaurant had a contemporary make-over with new windows to enhance the amazing Sydney Harbour view.


Head Chef Jim Wilson

Jim Wilson has joined Sails on Lavender Bay after a one year stint in Paris and two years at London's Michelin-starred restaurant, The Greenhouse. Jim is dedicated to creating vibrant food using classic French techniques to enhance the best produce he can source. He endeavours to cook food that boasts confident flavour combinations that aren't overworked.

Jim has created a menu for Sails on Lavender Bay that is interesting, unpretentious and delicious.

The wine list at Sails is an extensive award winning collection, having been consistently awarded a ‘Two Glass’ rating by Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine since 2010. Sails has an extensive and affordable wine list on offer for diners, with 18 wines available by the glass.
